My most significant ministry over the last three years is crocheting and distributing beanie-style hats to the homeless/houseless persons in Kansas City as well in Chicago, Denver, St. Louis and Santa Rosa, California, where my brother lives. I’ve donated over 700 over these years. These are made of bulky synthetic yarn, and it takes between 11/2 to 2 hours to make, justifying the hours I watch St. Louis Cardinals on TV during the baseball season. If a ministry/shelter might like some of these hats next winter, please let me know (skcox54@gmail.com). My adult children Cana and Caleb both live in Kansas City and are gainfully employed at jobs they really like.
