On June 6, Jim and I moved to Meramec Bluffs, which is only about 10 minutes from our villa in Fenton, where we lived for 14 years following my retirement. Meramec Bluffs is a Lutheran Senior Services facility, and we've been acquainted with it for years and knew it is a wonderful place to live!  We love our new apartment and an added bonus is that about 30 other people from Manchester UMC (where we are active in worship, etc.) also live here. And several more people from our church will be here as soon as an apartment is available! We enjoy eating together after worship on Sunday and meeting for a special meal once a month!

While downsizing was difficult and leaving the home where our family gathered for the holidays was hard. Both our daughters have declared that we will establish new traditions as well as hold on to old traditions. So, we are all going to Sherry and Eric's house in Chicago for Thanksgiving. Our younger daughter Becky and our son-in-law David live in Fenton, so they are close. Our older daughter Sherry and our son-in-law Eric live in Plainfield, Illinois, (a suburb in Chicago). Then, for Christmas, the plan is that we will all gather at Becky and David's house!

Finally, a word about our four grandsons. Alec graduated from the Air Force Academy in May 2021, and is now stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi. Ben is a senior at Lindenwood in St. Charles, Missouri. Nathaniel (sophomore) and Ethan (freshman) are both engineering majors at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. We are (like most grandparents) very proud of all of them and grateful for them!
