For several months Etta Mae has been contending with pulmonary hypertension. This disease makes breathing difficult. Recently she was hospitalized in order to address these concerns. She is now home but still finding that she has very little energy. Caregiving duties for Fritz have expanded greatly. Fritz struggles with hearing loss, but he manages with the help of hearing aids.

We say that Etta Mae cannot breathe, and Fritz cannot hear. At our age we guess this is to be expected.
