We have finally done some travel the past year. In the summer we drove our RV to Mesquite, Nevada, to visit with Gene's sister and do some downsizing for her. Made stops in Las Vegas to visit friends, Salt Lake City to swim in the lake and then on the way home a couple nights with friends in Keystone, Colorado, so Gene could do some fishing. Caught more than they even had!

Then this fall we headed east to West Virginia for the NOMADS annual meeting catching up with former workmates and just enjoying visiting with "old" Methodists still trying to stay active. Then we spent a week in a condo in Williamsburg, Virginia, visiting both Jamestown and Yorktown and the Battleship Wisconsin in Norfolk. I'd have been much more interested in American history if I'd been able to do that in high school! We then took two nights at an expensive campground in D.C. and visiting the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Very worth the stay. Stopped on the way home in Indianapolis to see Gene's brother and wife for a night.

Gene is off tonight at our little lake lot near Bonne Terre doing some fishing and building a small deck around the campfire. Last summer we built a shed and deck, but he just can't seem to stop building. He rebuilt daughter Lydia's deck in August and is using her old wood to build at the lake.

We still stay active in Webster First as I'm treasurer for both the church and UMW. We have also both become actively involved with Webster Rock Hill Ministries. Gene's on the board, and I'm doing their bookkeeping. Have enjoyed the St. Louis retired minister's group when we can get there. Too many trips recently but still wearing a mask as COVID is certainly not gone.
