On April 5, Judy and I celebrated one year in our duplex home at Lenoir Woods Senior Community in Columbia. We enjoy good neighbors and various on campus activities as well as our continued involvement with various church and community relationships, including Container Project, Rainbow Network, Heifer, CROP Walk and the interracial Race Onward group of folks from MO UMC and Russell Chapel CME. Each Sunday evening we have resident led "Vespers" in the Epple Chapel, named in honor of long time United Methodists of Columbia. Last summer the Civil Rights Pilgrimage to Springfield, Tulsa, and Little Rock was a powerful learning experience.

We are traveling to Memphis this weekend to visit my grandson and his wife, and next month we will celebrate the wedding of one of Judy's grandsons.
