Session 1 features "Listening, Responding and Practicing the Presence" as a part of holy conferencing. In the United Methodist Church, “holy conferencing”, which John Wesley identified as a means of grace, is the holy act of being in dialogue with God and others. More now than ever, churches find themselves at the crossroads of hot button topics ranging from social justice issues to theological divides. Finding “sweet spot” of holy conversation is essential to walking on to the playing field of potentially divisive issues and challenges.
