Disaster Response Devotional Guide

In every place where a disaster has occurred, several things have always rung true. First, disasters have a way of changing our perspectives and our priorities. Secondly, we can more clearly see our needs and the needs of others. Finally, disasters remind us that God is here, in every present moment, in every devastation and in every sigh of relief.

As you participate in disaster response, whether it’s your first opportunity or one of many, our hope is that this handbook will help you reflect on the ways you will encounter God at work and prepare your heart to minister to all those you meet.

Team leaders may want to use this booklet in daily devotionals, provide them for team members to complete individually or use the questions in some other format.
