Southeast District Coat Drive

Several churches in the Southeast District came together to respond to an urgent call from the Henderson Settlement in Frakes, KY. Their thrift store, which serves many low-income people, had almost no winter clothing. On Friday, December 12, the Southeast District Mission Team delivered 107 bags and 36 boxes of gently used and new coats, hats, gloves, sweaters, warm clothing and bedding to the Henderson Settlement – enough to fill a 6’x 9’ trailer and a pickup truck. Dona Maes of Sedgewickville UMC coordinated the drive, and several UM churches in northeast part of the district contributed. Dona and Bob Maes delivered the clothing.
