Rev. Mi Hyeon Lee to Be Next Mid-State District Superintendent

“Rev. Habben has done excellent work as a local church pastor and judicatory leader, first as Director of Connec tional Ministries and most recently as a District Superintendent for the Mid-State District for three years,” said Bishop Bob Farr. “Sherry’s heart and passion for the church and its leaders was always present during the 10 years of her work at the Conference level.”
Lee has been a member of the Missouri Conference for more than 20 years, and has served churches in Salisbury, Kansas City and Springfield. She is currently the lead pastor at First UMC in North Kansas City. She holds a Master of Theology from Methodist Theological Seminary in Seoul, Korea; a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry from Garrett Evangelical Seminary.
“We’re very excited to have Rev. Lee appointed as Mid-State District Superintendent,” said Bishop Bob Farr. “Her gifts for leadership and strategy development will be a major asset as we seek to implement the Conference vision.
