Getting Packed

News

Church and community came together on April 29 in the warehouse at the Missouri Conference office in Columbia to pack Menstrual Hygiene Kits for the United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR). The kits were designed, in partnership with Church World Service, to help with migrant hospitality, but can be used for anyone. UMCOR has asked the Missouri Conference to assemble 5,000 kits  to build inventory within the Affiliated Warehouse network.  About 2,100 kits have been completed.

The completed kits will be shipped to a distribution center in Texas soon. Volunteers came from Community United Methodist Church and Missouri United Methodist Church of Columbia, Macon United Methodist Church, a local chapter of the Rotary Club and National Honor Society students from Rockbridge High School in Columbia.
