Foundation Celebrates 50 Years

The Missouri United Methodist Foundation is a valuable resource for local churches and individuals throughout Missouri. Foundation Director David Atkins invited the attendees to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Missouri United Methodist Foundation. Local congregations and ministries are a part of the story of generosity and love of God. Yes, the Foundation gives an opportunity to invest wisely and safely, but it is much more than an investment opportunity. This is a partnership that makes churches strong. Churches find support to do effective ministry because the agency provides backup services and ministry grants to churches to reduce stress on clergy and to serve as a valuable tool to build long-term financial ministries.

“We do new things to bring more disciples for the transformation,” said Atkins, who shared the history of the Foundation with the delegates and thanked many generous donors.

The UM Foundation continues building the beloved communities in their passion for serving God and strengthening their commitment to Jesus Christ. Thanks to the Foundation, many churches were able to double their donations to support local programs.

The Missouri United Methodist Foundation proposes seminars and workshops on various giving arrangements and grace-filled programs.

Atkins invited lay leaders and pastors to stop at the table to learn about available resources and meet the staff and leaders.
