Navigating Healthy Change is the Theme of Bonem’s Workshop

News

There are few people who bring such a broad spectrum of practical experience as Mike Bonem. Mike spent over 10 years on the staff of West University Baptist Church in Houston, most recently as Executive Pastor.  His business endeavors have included consulting as a senior manager with McKinsey & Company, one of the world’s leading management consulting firms, and senior leadership roles in two environmental service companies. Mike obtained his M.B.A. degree, with distinction, from Harvard Business School, after having obtained a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Rice University.

On April 21, 2016, Bonem will present “Navigating Healthy Change” at the 9th Annual Leadership Institute at Central Methodist University, sponsored by the Missouri United Methodist Foundation.  Bonem plans to “provide in-depth assessments, discern God’s vision, initiate healthy change, and establish implementation plans.”

Indeed, Bonem is known in Methodist circles for his work with the Texas Methodist Foundation. Visit Mike Bonem’s website and you will find information on a variety of topics, books and services.  A workshop setting allows Bonem to go deeper and engage in interactive activities with attendees about the specific issues they may be facing.

“Mike has a reputation for his ability to look at good business practices, in a local church environment, through a biblical lens,” states David Atkins, director of the Foundation.  “Mike serves alongside the leaders of churches, ministries and other non-profit organizations to turn vision into results. This will be a wonderful program for pastors and lay leaders to attend together.”

Register for the program online at www.mumf.org or call the Foundation at 800-332-8238.  The cost is $35 and includes lunch and a copy of Mike’s book Leading Congregational Change: A Practical Guide for the Transformational Journey.
