The purpose of the Ministry of All Believers course is to clarify the critical role of the laity in the life and mission of the Church and to inspire and equip lay persons to pursue God’s call on their lives as part of the Body of Christ. The course will be facilitated by Pastor Marsha Vincent from First UMC Lebanon.
This course is designed to be entry-level for persons new to church leadership or interested in learning more about how they can deepen their understanding and response to God’s call as a layperson and build skills to minister or lead in the local church. The Ministry of All Believers course is also a prerequisite for becoming a Certified Pulpit Supply.
This course will explore the importance of the ministry of all of us as believers, primarily how lay servants serve by caring, communicating, and leading and how we grow in discipleship.
This class will be Saturday, February 25 at 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM at Warsaw UMC .
There is a $10 registration fee that helps cover costs for any class handouts, as well as soup and salad for lunch.
Participants must also purchase the Lay Servant Ministries: Basic Course Participants Book. It is available at Cokesbury or Amazon.
