Emotionally Healthy Spirituality is based on the premise that emotional health and spiritual health are inseparable and that many of us get stuck spiritually because we haven't done the hard work of becoming emotionally healthy. This one-day In Person course is based on Peter Scazzero's book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality and will include insights from Bowen Family Systems theory. The course will be taught by Rev. David Conley -Southeast District.
This class will be held Saturday, January 28 at First UMC (Festus) from 9:00 - 4:30 PM
There will be a $15 fee for participation in this course, which will cover lunch, materials provided, and snacks.
Students will also need to purchase course books. All three books are recommended for the course. Below you will see purchasing options.
Attendees are asked to read the book in its entirety prior to the in-person session.
This course is included in the updated lay education certification pathway. This class is also a prerequisite for becoming a Certified Pulpit Supply. To receive credit, participants must attend the entire in-person course and complete two homework assignments.
ANYONE can take the course; you do not have to be in the lay ministry process.
