The purpose of the Ministry of All Believers course is to clarify the critical role of the laity in the life and mission of the Church and to inspire and equip lay persons to pursue God’s call on their lives as part of the Body of Christ. Dr. Michael Sykuta and Dr. Robert Gordon, co-district lay leaders for the North Central District of the Missouri Conference, will be the facilitators for this course.

This course is designed to be entry-level for persons new to church leadership or interested in learning more about how they can deepen their understanding and response to God’s call as a layperson and build skills to minister or lead in the local church. The Ministry of All Believers course is also a pre-requisite for becoming Certified Pulpit Supply.

This course will explore the importance of the ministry of all of us as believers, primarily how lay servants serve by caring, communicating, and leading and how we grow in discipleship.

There will be a $10 fee for participation in this course, which will cover materials provided and refreshments for the afternoon.

This class will be Saturday, January 28 at Community UMC in Columbia, MO.

The class will meet from 1:00 - 5:00 PM.
