Come, let’s shout praises to God,
raise the roof for the Rock who saved us!
Let’s march into his presence singing praises,
lifting the rafters with our hymns!
And why? Because God is the best
Psalm 95:1-3a MSG
Embracing joy is part of our DNA as Christ-followers. Our role as those connected to Jesus and the Creator is to keep hope alive for others. There is nothing so serious as joy. Our summer Soul Connections retreat invites both laity and clergy to experience rest, renewal and play with the Rocky Mountains as the backdrop. Using enchantment as our guiding theme, together we’ll sit in awe of God’s creation and explore where spirituality and play intersect.
Enchantment is the fourth in a series of four Soul Connections retreats centered on the foundational themes of connection, invitation, reflection and celebration. The retreats have complemented one another to form a personal, four-retreat journey over two years. At the same time, each retreat opportunity stands alone.
Retreat Teacher
Rev. Daniel Hilty
Daniel delights in Christ’s ability to bring people together across dividing lines and believes strongly in the importance of play and playfulness in the life of faith. He and his family are grateful to have pastored churches in St. Charles, Fayette, Jefferson City and Springfield. Along with Rev. Kevin Taylor, he is the co-host of “Board Game Faith,” a biweekly podcast exploring the intersection of religion, spirituality and table games. He is the proud husband of Kristen, a social worker and counselor working with older adults. Together they are the proud parents of Elijah and Maggie.
