Title of Class: Basic Lay Servant Ministry Class

 

Summary of Class

This is the Basic course required for all levels of recognition in Lay Servant Ministries. It will familiarize you with leading, caring and communicating ministries and give you a chance to explore each one. Upon completion of this course, you will have a basic knowledge of what it means to be Methodist and an idea about which area of ministry God is calling you to pursue. Rev. Marsha Vincent will be our instructor.

Course Requirements

Please purchase and read the book Lay Servant Ministries by Brian and Sandy Jackson before you come to class on April 30. The book is available for purchase from Cokesbury, Amazon or The Upper Room.

Additionally, please bring a one-page paper with your expectations of the class with you April 30.

A reflection paper is required after the course to receive certification.

• We will follow CDC distancing guidelines. Masks are optional.
