Join Yvette Richards as she leads the First Quarter BASIC Course. Yvette currently serves as the Heartland District Director of Lay Servant Ministry and Director of Community Connections and Missions at St. James UMC. She has taught many courses for UMW retreats and traveled the world providing Leadership insight. Ms Richards is a John Maxwell Team Member, certified in Coaching, Leadership, Training and Speaking.  She holds a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications from North Carolina A&T State University (1985), a Master’s in Leadership Develop from Walden University (2013), a Master’s in Christian Ministry from United Theological Seminary (2019) and a Doctoral of Ministry from United Theological Seminary (2022).
 

Introduction to Lay Ministry: The BASIC Course

Ministry isn’t just a clergy endeavor; all Christians are called to serve. Laity serve on the front line of evangelical living. Help laity explore and discover their unique Call in serving God, neighbor and the greater church. Please join us for our first quarter of our Lay Servant Classes. You must attend all three sessions listed below to receive credit for this class.

• Friday, March 18 - 6:30-8:30 p.m.
• Friday, March 25 - 6:30-8:30 p.m.
• Saturday, March 26 - 8 a.m. to noon
