Have you ever been curious, or perhaps frustrated, about how someone younger or older than you communicates? Do you wonder what influences them and how you can improve your connection? Communicating Across Generations will equip you to:
  • Understand what makes each generation unique and appreciate cultural differences
  • Learn specific ways to include and reach out to different generations and cultures
  • Better communicate and manage conflict within multi-generational churches
  • Create next steps to bridge the gaps and welcome new generations and cultures into your church family and community
This high energy, engaging and interactive workshop will help you build skills that can be used right away in your home, office or church environments. Gather your local church leadership team and join us for a day of learning!

Our Teacher for the Day

Jennifer Smith, CEO of Midwest Strategies
Raised in Springfield, Missouri, Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Missouri State University. She also holds a master’s in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University and two graduate degrees in banking through Vanderbilt and Louisiana State.

After 15 years in the financial services industry, in 2007 she left her banking career as chief financial officer and marketing director for a locally owned bank to start Midwest Strategies. The firm provides business consulting and training services to small and mid-sized businesses across all industries as well as not-for-profits.

Jennifer has successfully worked across multiple generations over the years and has helped many organizations do the same. She has served on many boards and received numerous awards in her professional career and was recognized as the Cape Girardeau Chamber's Small Business of the Year in 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving, reading, community service and spending time with her 15-year-old daughter.
