Rev. Dr. Jacqui King
The Rev. Dr. Jacqui King is an Elder of The United Methodist Church, ordained in the Texas Annual Conference. Known as a pioneer for connecting technology and faith community building by launching an online experience in 2007. She currently serves the UMC by partnering with connectional teams to create virtual events that focus on leading online engagement, prayer, bible studies, and training to equip leaders to lead effectively in hybrid environments. Her coaching expertise encourages lay/clergy leaders to develop Ministry Action Plans (MAP) that reach new people. She promotes team-building strategies for expanding missional outreach.
She previously served with Discipleship Ministries (DM) as the Director for US Annual Conference Relationships and the Director of Leadership for Congregational Vitality. In these roles, she managed leadership development for local congregations, developed online webinars for lay and clergy leaders, implemented the Annual Conference Strategy by developing collaborative partnerships between DM and US Annual Conference Boards / District Leadership Teams. Her targeted ministry areas included developing strategic conversations with DS/DCM groups, design team member for the annual DS/DCM training event, resourcing ethnic leadership teams, building intentional discipleship systems, and promoting community engagement.
