The Summer Lay Servant Courses will be postponed and rescheduled at later date.

Course Options:

  • Core Course: Public Prayer  - Public Prayer, using Shaping the Prayers of the People: The Art of Intercession book by Samuel Wells and Abigail Kocher. Praying in public can be daunting, but prayer is something one learns. This course on praying in public will help the participant grow in confidence and skill in public prayer and enrich their personal prayer life.
  • Advance Course: Lay Servants Lead in Conflict Resolution - Lay Servants Lead in Conflict Resolution, led by Rev. Melissa Dodd, District Superintendent. She will be using the book, The Spirit and Art of Conflict Transformation, by Thomas Porter. Every church deals with conflict, the color of the carpet, or the style of worship. Lay servants can be equipped and empowered to help led through those times of conflict as a time of transformation.
