Bishop Robert Farr and the Missouri Cabinet seek to match clergy and congregations as we make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
As part of our appointive process, the Cabinet is sharing “clear opens." Clear opens are churches where it is publicly known that there will be a pastoral transition often due to retirement or a leave of absence. We will publish clear opens on this page to allow MOAC and non-Missouri clergy an opportunity to express their interest in a particular appointment. Please note that your expression of interest will not circumvent the usual discernment process and does not guarantee that the interested clergy will receive preferred consideration.
If you are an elder in full connection, associate member, licensed local pastor, or a pastor from another Conference or denomination and are interested in being considered for a clear open church, please click the “Indicate Interest” button. Conference Superintendent Melissa Dodd will be notified upon your submission. For Missouri clergy your DS will also be notified once you submit the form.
Note that the vast majority of clear opens have a start date of July 1, 2023.
