Safe Sanctuaries

The Safe Sanctuaries program is a process developed to train and certify persons as safe workers with children and youth in Conference Ministries. The policies were adopted in 1999, in response to God's call to welcome all children and to protect them from the devastating effects of child abuse.

Those seeking to work in events other than those sponsored by the Missouri Annual Conference or its districts should visit with the sponsors of the event to determine how to become eligible to serve. The Missouri Conference Safe Sanctuaries policy and procedures support the training program for the Conference ministries. Only members of the Missouri Conference or individuals attending a Conference event are eligible for Safe Sanctuaries certification.
