Laity Leadership

Methodism began as a lay movement.  From lay preachers and class leaders in England, through lay witness missions in the United States, to Volunteers in Mission teams and lay speakers of today, laity have provided vital leadership to further the mission of the church.

This section of the website contains resources and information primarily for Lay Leaders and Lay Speakers, as well as helpful information for all lay people interested in the fruitfulness of the church’s ministry.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact a member of the Lay Ministry team. The team includes all district lay leaders, who are primary contacts for local church lay leaders.
