The Values Team affirms and advocates our values in the Missouri Conference, and calls us to faithfulness to the Gospel and the Social Principles of the UMC. The Values Team connects the Conference with the General Commission on Religion and Race and the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women, and through these mandates encourages diversity and inclusiveness in all levels of the church.

The Values Team of the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church is now receiving nominations for the Unity Award. The Unity Award celebrates the spirit and work of an individual in light of the values of the Missouri Annual Conference with particular emphasis on INCLUSIVENESS, JUSTICE, and WORTH. The award will be presented at the 2011 Missouri Annual Conference. All nominations must be submitted by May 1, 2011. For more details, visit moumethodist.org/unityaward.
The General Commission on the Status and Role of Women works to challenge the UMCs to work for full and equal participation of women in the total life of the denomination, including ordination of women, equal access to policy-making and recognition that Jesus Christ calls men and women alike to salvation, liberation, discipleship and service in church and society.
