Supporting UMCOR and Help for Haiti
The United Methodist Committee On Relief is the humanitarian relief and development agency of the United Methodist Church. UMCOR receives no apportionments. It is funded by a special offering called the �One Great Hour of Sharing.� Gifts to this offering underwrite UMCOR's costs of doing business. That means that 100 percent of every other gift made to a specific UMCOR project can be spent on that project. This offering is traditionally celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent, although local churches can choose their own day. To support the current relief operations in now Haiti, go to

Becoming a Multi-Cultural Church - Workshop
Rev. Emmanuel Cleaver II and Rev. Tish Green will be presenting a workshop designed for staff and leadership of churches looking for ways to grow more diverse congregations. It will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, February 21 at The Connection United Methodist Church, 6701 Virginia Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63111. Cost is $5 per participant. An RSVP is appreciated. E-mail
