Join us from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Community UMC, 3301 W. Broadway, Columbia, for a morning of worship, workshops and a keynote by Church of the Resurrection Executive Director Dan Entwistle entitled "Dealing with Church Conflict." The morning's schedule will be:
9-9:30, Continental breakfast and fellowship
9:30-10, Worship with Missouri UMC Associate Pastor Charity Goodwin Rosario and the Apex Praise Team from Wesley UMC
10-11, Keynote by Dan Entwistle. Dan will be giving us great tools to use in communicating better in the local church. Left unresolved, conflict can derail an otherwise healthy church. But conflict doesn’t have to discourage or wreck our churches. In fact, a church that learns to embrace healthy conflict will experience positive changes that couldn’t have emerged otherwise. Discover how a church can avoid negative patterns and learn to engage in positive, fruitful conflict.
11-12, Two workshops
Missouri UMC Lead Pastor Kendall Waller will lead a training workshop for those that are on Pastor Parish Relations Committees.
Missouri UMC Associate Pastor Charity Goodwin Rosario will lead a workshop focused on the benefits of small groups as a change agent in the local church and how these groups can be or become more than we might have thought.
This event is for clergy and laity. Childcare available upon request.
Please RSVP by March 31st to HCalhoun@moumethodist.org.
