Blue Mountain Camp - April 21st, 2012 10am - 4pm
10am - 12pm Event Director's Training and Updates
12pm - 1pm Lunch for Event Directors, Counselors and Core Staff
1pm - 2pm Mentoring Ministry Candidates, Karen Hayden
As Christians we are all called to be ministers in the world. Some people are called to ministry as a vocation.
"Call experiences" differ from person to person. One common ingredient in many call stories is how God uses other people to help prepare the way for the call or help in discernment after the call.
As counselors, volunteers and leaders of camps, we invite you to learn how to better notice, name and nurture those God is calling to ministry as a vocation.
2pm - 3pm Games, Led by Raymond Varner
Don't find yourself with campers having nothing to do! We will play some games in this workshop but most of all we will equip you with a pocket full of activities for anywhere, any weather, any size group. This workshop will give you ideas of how to fill the 5, 10 or 15 minute break that sometimes happens between scheduled events and will keep your campers engaged!
3pm - 4pm Maximizing your Site, Led Christina and Erik Barton
Camp Programs - Activities for small and large groups that will show you how to utilize the site to its fullest intentions and interacting with your campers on a one-on-one basis.
Camp Scheduling - Options and pointers in how to maintain a high level of interest for your campers throughout the week, keeping your counselors and campers centered on CHRIST, providing counselors and staff devotion times and keeping your campers safe and engaged.
