Salem United Methodist Church invites you to a Free Theology Speaker Series featuring, Jack Levison, the W. J. A. Power Chair of Old Testament Interpretation and Biblical Hebrew at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University. Jack will present “Mission Then. Mission Now”: You’ll discover, in the earliest annals of Christianity, a community that provided the bedrock for the first great transformation of the church: the call to mission. This community, the church in Antioch, offers us a brilliant example of how to prepare a local church for the work of mission.

Come with an appetite, a Bible, and an openness to what God may do right here in St. Louis. Dinner provided. This is a rare opportunity to hear and meet an internationally known and gifted theological author, professor, and scholar. Reservations are requested http://www.salemstlouis.com/speakerseries or call (314) 991-0546.
