In the book of Acts, we see the explosive growth of the early church, as the apostles acted under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As we know from experience, rapid growth rarely comes without some difficulties and challenges - growing pains. Take a look at several of the challenges or barriers to growth in the early church (surprisingly like many of the barriers that we face today) to learn how the early believers stayed true to the leading of the Spirit in order to carry the Gospel not just to Jerusalem, but to Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Dr. James Fleming lived and worked in Israel from 1974 to 2006, and has developed courses of study in historical geography and biblical history, uniquely tying the studies with the biblical text. Dr. Fleming has over fifty different biblical lecture series available for presentations in the local church or synagogue. In addition, Dr. Fleming can give a presentation on the current situation in the Middle East, or share information about the work going on at his Biblical History Center in LaGrange, GA. Join us on the weekend of April 1-3, 2016 as Dr. James Fleming leads us. Invite your friends, family, church family, and more to one, some, or all of the following sessions: Friday Evening 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Class and Language Barriers Saturday 9:00 a.m.-10:15 a.m. Prejudice Barrier 10:15 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Break 10:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Reinterpreting Scripture 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Lunch provided and conversation 12:45 p.m. - 2 p.m. The Secular World/ Philosophy Sunday 9:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Bad Government/Barbarian 11:00 a.m. Worship
